The UFC 303 lineup now boasts its tenth fight. The promotion announced on social media that Canada’s Charles Jourdain will face Brazil’s Jean Silva in a featherweight prelim on June 29 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. This event is headlined by the highly anticipated bout between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler.
Charles Jourdain (15-7-1 MMA, 6-6-1 UFC) is looking to rebound from a split decision loss to Sean Woodson at UFC 297 in January. Prior to that defeat, Jourdain was on a two-fight winning streak with victories over Kron Gracie and Ricardo Ramos.
Jean Silva (12-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) was originally scheduled to fight at UFC 301 on May 4, but his opponent, William Gomis, was deemed medically unfit to compete after a concerning weigh-in. Silva, a Dana White’s Contender Series alum, impressed in his promotional debut with a first-round knockout of Westin Wilson in January.
With this addition, the UFC 303 lineup includes:
- Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler
- Jamahal Hill vs. Khalil Rountree
- Mayra Bueno Silva vs. Macy Chiasson
- Andre Fili vs. Cub Swanson
- Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Joe Pyfer
- Gillian Robertson vs. Michelle Waterson-Gomez
- Carlos Hernandez vs. Rei Tsuruya
- Yanis Ghemmouri vs. Payton Talbott
- Andrei Arlovski vs. Martin Buday
- Charles Jourdain vs. Jean Silva
UFC 303 is shaping up to be a stacked event with a mix of veteran fighters and rising stars. The addition of Jourdain vs. Silva adds another exciting matchup to the undercard, ensuring fans have plenty of action to look forward to before the main event featuring McGregor and Chandler.
